The Ugly Mug Cafe and Concert House is a non-profit venture. We started to create a place where teens can hang out in a safe, drug free, alcohol free, cool place. But its turning into much more. It's turning into a place where the entire community will want to go. In the morning, commuters to Rt 70 can grab a quick breakfast. After the kids go to school, stay at home moms can enjoy a morning out. At lunchtime, business people will enjoy a unique, healthy, affordable lunch. Seniors can come anytime and hang out all day on the same cup of coffee if they want. After school, we hope the teens will come and play arcade games, foosball, etc while enjoying the upstairs room. Each weekday evening could be something planned for different age groups and different interests. During the day once a week we'd like to have preschool entertainment so the mom's can sit and relax. On the weekends we'd like to have concerts featuring local and regional talent. The upstairs room will hold up to 150 people and can be rented for family parties, fund raisers, business meetings, etc. So as you can see, The Ugly Mug will be enjoyed by all ages, all interests. It will be a reflection of whatever our community needs.
