THE PLAN

The Ugly Mug is coming to 6228 Route 32 (Sykesville Rd.) in Eldersrbug, MD. It will be a place for everybody to hang out, drink great coffee, play games and listen to live music. It will solve the epidemic of "nothing to do" in Eldersburg.

The ground level will house a professionally managed café with breakfast, lunch and light dinner fares and the best coffee in Eldersburg. Eventually, hundreds of unique, personal coffee mugs will be on display, ready to be filled with their owner's beverage of choice.

Upstairs will feature a wide-open, multi-purpose space for concerts, parties, business gatherings and receptions. Billiards, video games and table games will also be available.

The Ugly Mug is a not-for-profit endeavor. It is for the community and we need the community’s help. We are campaigning to raise the final $200,000 of the total $358,000 needed. This covers the down-payment to purchase the building, all renovations and the cafe start-up costs. Once those funds are secured, we believe The Ugy Mug can open nine months later.
